Quick update: Alex’s senior class won, but did NOT achieve the sweep. The Juniors won the Golden Bulldog and the Freshman win the volleyball tournament. Crazy. But I’ll give you an idea of the insanity that was my son for Spirit Week.
Penny Count – at one point this was about collecting pennies, but it’s now just which class can raise the most money. Alex gave $100 of his own money.
Can Drive – They tripled the amount of cans the second place class collected. Alex also figured out that peanut butter gets a 5x multiplier for points, so he raised $220 from God-knows-where and bought this…
But course, The Hallway was the main event. Their theme was “Oscars” and their hallway had a Red Carpet entrance, then you went through Gladiator, ET, Titanic, and Rocky. They built The Colusium in my back yard and the Titanic took up my entire basement. Alex’s hair looks insane because he got globs of hot glue in there when making gladiator helmets, and then cut them out himself.
Their hallway won first place and deserved it. It was amazing.
